Accurate assessment of right ventricular (RV) size and function are predictors of functional capacity and survival in various clinical scenarios, like pulmonary arterial hypertension, congenital heart disease (CHD), systolic heart failure, coronary or valvular heart disease, heart transplantation etc. Therefore, these parameters are essential for the management of patients affected by many cardiac disorders [1].
